How to Play

Type Matchup Quiz

Given an attacking type and a defending type, choose the effectiveness (super effective, not very effective, no effect, etc.). Great for memorizing the type chart by feel.

Move Matchup Quiz

A move name is shown, and you determine its effectiveness based on the move's type against the defender's type. Train type matchups in a battle-like context.

Speed Quiz

Two Pokémon are shown, and you guess which has the higher Speed base stat. Train your knowledge of speed matchups, which are crucial in competitive battles.

Basic Rules

  • Two Pokémon are displayed
  • Choose from "A is faster", "B is faster", or "Same speed"

Additional Settings

  • Include stat distributionQuestions include comparisons with EV spreads and nature modifiers
  • Include Choice ScarfQuestions include comparisons with Choice Scarf (1.5× Speed)

Outspeed Quiz

Given a target Pokémon's speed stat, determine the minimum EV investment needed for another Pokémon to outspeed it. Sharpen your team-building and calculation skills.

Base Stats Quiz

A quiz where you identify Pokémon from their base stat distribution shown on a radar chart. You answer based on the six stats: HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed.

Basic Rules

  • Look at the radar chart and enter a Pokémon name
  • You can reveal hints like Type and Ability
  • If you don't know, press "Give Up" to see the answer

  • 3 / 5 / 10 QuestionsComplete a fixed number of questions and see your results
  • Endless (Free)Questions continue until you press the Finish button
  • Endless (Survival)One wrong answer ends the game. Compete for the longest streak

Filter Options

Narrow down the question pool. You can include or exclude regular Pokémon, Mega Evolutions, sub-legendaries, pre-evolutions, restricted legendaries, and mythical Pokémon.

Review Mode

A mode that focuses on Pokémon you previously got wrong. Efficiently memorize base stats by repeatedly practicing your weak points.

Tips for Memorizing Base Stats

  • Start by learning Pokémon commonly used in competitive battles
  • Pay attention to the shape of the radar chart (spikes, balanced distributions, etc.) — it helps with memory retention
  • Speed matchups are especially important since they directly determine turn order in battles
  • Use Review Mode to repeatedly practice the Pokémon you struggle with
